Agartala, 19th June 2026: Dr. Vishal Kumar, District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura, conducted an extensive field inspection across different areas under Jirania RD Block on Friday to assess the progress of ongoing development projects and review the effectiveness of government service delivery at the grassroots level.
The inspection began from Nalgariya Market in the morning, following which the District Magistrate visited several important locations, including West Ranigaon SB School, Majlishpur Anganwadi Centre, the under-construction Gram Panchayat building, multiple CC road construction sites, Harijoy Chowdhury Park, and the Brajanagar Ayushman Arogya Mandir Health Sub-Centre.
During the visit, Dr. Kumar closely examined the progress of various infrastructure projects and reviewed the quality of work being carried out. He also interacted with local residents, elected representatives, and officials to understand public concerns, local requirements, and challenges affecting development activities.
Emphasizing the importance of efficient implementation of government schemes, the District Magistrate directed concerned departments to complete pending works within the stipulated timeline while ensuring quality standards. He also highlighted the need for improving civic facilities and strengthening public service mechanisms.
Later in the day, a review meeting was held at North Majlishpur Gram Panchayat, where officials from different departments and stakeholders discussed the status of ongoing projects and outlined further action plans for effective execution.
The district administration stated that regular field inspections help in monitoring development activities, resolving public grievances promptly, and ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach people at the grassroots level. The administration reaffirmed its commitment towards strengthening development initiatives and improving public services across West Tripura district.
