Agartala, 22nd June 2024: The West Tripura district’s DM Dr. Vishal Kumar has taken proactive steps to address land-related paper errors. These mistakes have caused issues for individuals during land transactions. Dr. Kumar emphasized that the cases were filed due to errors in issuing land-related documents.
To expedite the resolution process, the District Magistrate’s Court will now convene every Saturday and Sunday at the District Magistrate’s office. Those facing problems related to land deeds (known as “Parcha”) can seek redressal at this court. Currently, there are approximately 3000 revenue-related cases pending.
In an effort to ensure speedy disposal, Special Revenue Courts have been established. On a recent Saturday, 40 cases were heard in this special court, with 30 already resolved. Dr. Vishal Kumar, the District Commissioner of West Tripura, expressed optimism that this streamlined approach would benefit the people by efficiently addressing land-related issues. The goal is to resolve all such cases within the next three to four months.
