Agartala, 22nd June 2024: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party ally Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) is intensifying efforts for upcoming village committee elections while scuffling with an existential crisis.
Following their preparations a one-day M.C.C conference was organized on Saturday at the Dasarath Auditorium where top-level IPFT leaders convened to strategize for the crucial village committee polls. Party president Prem Kumar Reang presided over the meeting which focused on the current political situation and the party’s position within it.
Addressing the media Reang staunchly defended the IPFT’s standing in the hill areas. “The IPFT remains robust in the hills. We have 33 fully functional Sub-division committees which is a testament to our strength” he asserted.
Reang revealed that the party has already formulated strategies for the village committee elections. “We’ve developed comprehensive plans and today’s discussion centred on their effective implementation” he stated.
The conference was graced by the presence of several well-known personalities including General Secretary Swapan Debbarma and senior leader K.K. Jamatia and other leaders.
