CM Sends 500 Kgs of Queen Pineapple to Bangladesh PM Hasina

Agartala, 23rd June 2024 : In a gesture of goodwill, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha sent 500 kilograms of queen pineapples to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday. The consignment was dispatched through the Agartala-Akhaura Integrated Check Post.

Dr. Dipak Baidya, Assistant Director of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, shared details of the event, stating that 100 boxes, each containing six queen pineapples, were sent to Prime Minister Hasina on behalf of Chief Minister Saha.

“Our relationship with Bangladesh is longstanding and amicable. Exchanging gifts helps to reinforce our bonds. Today, we have sent queen pineapples, a variety we believe to be among the best in the world, as a symbol of our friendship. This consignment from Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina comprises 100 boxes, each containing six pineapples weighing approximately 750 grams each, totaling around 500 kilograms,” he explained.
