West Tripura Steps Up Readiness for NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Test; holds high level meeting

Agartala, 17th June 2026:  Ahead of the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination, the West Tripura District Administration has intensified preparations to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly, securely, and transparently.

District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura, Dr. Vishal Kumar, along with Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, attended a crucial review meeting organized by the Higher Education Department of the Tripura Government on Wednesday.

The meeting, presided over by Chief Secretary JK Sinha, brought together senior officials from the Higher Education Department, representatives of the State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC), District Level Coordination Committees (DLCCs), Tripura Police, the National Informatics Centre (NIC), and other concerned agencies.

During the deliberations, participants reviewed key operational aspects related to the examination, including security deployment, safe transportation and storage of confidential materials, manpower arrangements, logistical planning, and coordination among various departments.

Officials also stressed strict adherence to the protocols and guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to ensure a fair and credible examination process.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vishal Kumar reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to creating a secure and candidate-friendly environment for all examinees. He emphasized that seamless coordination among departments would be essential for the successful conduct of the re-test.

Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak assured that the police department would provide comprehensive security support, ensuring effective law-and-order management and safeguarding examination centres throughout the process.
