Agartala, 4th June 2025: A tragic case of domestic violence took place near Melaghar Lalmia Chowmuhani, where a woman lost her life after allegedly being struck by her husband.
The victim identified as Mishti Begum was rushed to Melaghar Hospital following the incident. Authorities from Melaghar Police Station swiftly intervened, arresting the accused husband Sumon Mia and taking him into custody.
According to preliminary reports, the suspect had a history of abusive behavior, often allegedly under the influence of intoxicants. The situation escalated, leading to the fatal assault.
