Agartala: August 20. Without restoration of law and order and uninterrupted power services, expansion and development of industries in the state is not possible, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.Chief Minister Dr Saha said this while visiting the industrial city of Bodhjung Nagar on Saturday.
On this day he visited the industrial city held a meeting with the industrialists, and officials separately and discussed several issues.“Products produced in these factories must be purchased. Materials must be purchased. Industrialists should purchase the goods through the government. Out of 120 factories, 69 factories are still functioning. 50 factories closed. A meeting should be held on why this situation has happened”, he said.
Chief minister also directed to identify the problem and solve it and restart it.He said that micro and small industrial entrepreneurs should be encouraged more.The CM has also expressed his anger over the role of police as despite having CCTV footages in the industrial areas, why police failed in taking actions against incidents.
He said that industrial entrepreneurs will not come if this continues.“There should be environment-friendly conditions for industry. Special care should be taken to ensure proper access to and from the industrial city”, he said.He said that he will visit this industrial city from time to time.Chief Secretary JK Sinha, State Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, Department Secretary, TIDC Chairman Tinku Roy and others were present along with the Chief Minister.
