Agartala, 26th June 2025: In alignment with Chief Minister’s vision for a drug-free Tripura and under the slogan “Drugs are a destructive addiction,” the Women’s College NSS Unit marked the International Day against Drug Abuse with a community awareness initiative today.

Volunteers from the college’s NSS unit actively engaged passersby in the Banamalipur area, distributing informative leaflets highlighting the dangers of drug abuse. They encouraged citizens from all walks of life to take a stand against addiction and report drug-related activities to the police if needed, highlighting the importance of public cooperation in dismantling drug networks.

The campaign called for a unified pledge to build a healthier, safer society where no youth would need to seek de-addiction services. Guardians joined the students in solidarity.

The event was coordinated under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Rama Bhattacharya, who ensured the smooth execution of the initiative.
