Agartala, September 07, 2022: BIRAC Regional Techno-Entrepreneurship Promotion Centre (BRTC), KIIT-TBI, Bhubaneswar in association with the RKVY-RAFTAAR Agri Business Incubation (R-ABI) of the College of Fisheries under the Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal organized a two-days capacity building workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Intellectual property Rights” on Tuesday and Wednesday at College of Fisheries, Lembucherra.
The prime purpose of the workshop was to encourage and boost the entrepreneurial mindset and provide holding hands on key technical, financial knowledge for initiating self-sustained start-ups among the students, faculty and researcher. The inaugural programme held on 06th September, 2022 was chaired by the Dean of the college, Prof. R.K. Saha.
Speaking on the occasion he acknowledged the imperative step initiated by the BRTC and sighted the need for self-employment among youth and students. During the two-days, technical sessions were organized and the experts of the sessions were Sudhir Jha, Manager, Technology Innovation and Management, BCKIC, Ray Sai Soubhagya, Program Associate, KIIT-TBI, Dr Arpan Ghosh, Manager-Bio-innovation, KIIT-TBI, Smrita Pathak, Assistant Manager, IP, BCKIC. Dr General Thiyam and Dr S Ray Chaudhuri, Professor, Tripura University, recipients of Biotechnology Ignition Grants (BIG) shared their entrepreneurial experiences.
The programme was facilitated and coordinated by Dr Gusheinzed Waikhom, Associate Professor of the college. The programme was attended by more than 60 participants including students and faculties of different colleges, startups and entrepreneurs of the state.
