Agartala: September 22. A one day workshop on ‘Prevention of Child Marriage’ was held today which was jointly organized by National Child Commission and Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TCPCR) at International Fair ground in Hapania, Agartala. CMPO, District Child Protection Officer, Welfare Officer, Child Welfare Committee, Tripura Police, Gram Panchayat jointly organized by National Child Commission and TCPCR at International Fair Ground Auditorium Hall with Zilla Panchayat Heads and Child Line Officers. 100 (one hundred) representatives from various fields attended the workshop.
Dr. Vandana Bhuiyan and Nilima Ghosh, Chairperson, TCPCR and Dr. Poonam, Member of the Commission, Regional Director (Retd.) Guwahati NIPSID, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Member Secretary, Tripura Law Division, Advocate General, Siddhartha Shankar Dey, as the chief guests was present in this workshop. Dr Poonam Mukherjee, Manisha Saha, Himani Debbarma, Sharmila Chowdhury were present. Bidya Bharti Society was responsible for the proper management of the program.
