Agartala, 19th November 2024 : On the occasion of World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse, the NGO ‘SEVA’ organized a public awareness event at Fatikroy in Unakoti district.
The day was marked with discussions, activities, and the dissemination of crucial information to combat child abuse.The program emphasized educating children and parents about “safe and unsafe touch,” equipping them with knowledge to prevent potential harm. Special sessions were conducted for both children and adults to create a supportive environment for reporting abuse and seeking help.
Speakers also shed light on the increasing incidents of child abuse globally and urged the community to remain vigilant. The event concluded with a pledge to create a safer world for children by addressing the issue at its roots through education, awareness, and community action.The day served as a reminder of the collective responsibility to safeguard children’s rights and ensure their well-being.
