Agartala, 12th September 2025 :   Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport is gearing up to celebrate Yatri Sewa Diwas on 16th and 17th September with a vibrant lineup of events aimed at enhancing passenger experience and promoting community engagement.

The celebration will kick off on 16th September with a media briefing, where banners and flex displays will be installed at strategic locations across the terminal to raise awareness about the initiative. Airport Director KC Meena will address representatives from print, electronic, and social media, outlining the activities planned for the two-day event.

“Yatri Sewa Diwas is not just about improving facilities—it’s about connecting with our passengers and the local community,” said KC Meena. “We want travelers to feel welcomed and valued the moment they step into our airport.”

On the second day of Yatri Sewa Diwas, Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport will host a variety of engaging and inclusive activities designed to enhance the passenger experience and foster community involvement. Arriving passengers will be greeted with a traditional welcome that includes tika and warm greetings. A tree plantation drive themed “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” will be organized, with participation expected from local dignitaries and senior citizens.

To celebrate regional culture, folk dance performances will take place in the arrival hall during peak hours. Children in the Security Hold Area (SHA) will have the opportunity to participate in quiz and painting competitions centered around themes of patriotism. Branded photo booths will be installed at multiple locations including the concourse, departure area, SHA, arrival zone, and city side.

A blood donation camp will be conducted with careful coordination to ensure proper storage and utilization of donated blood. Free health check-up kiosks will offer tests for blood pressure, sugar, and hemoglobin, while an eye check-up station will be set up outside the terminal for auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers.

Additionally, school students from classes 10 to 12 will be invited for a guided visit to the airport, where they will be familiarized with airport operations and informed about career opportunities in aviation. Passenger feedback will be actively collected to improve services, and influencers will create vlogs showcasing the smooth passenger journey and available facilities at the airport. “We’ve designed these activities to be both meaningful and memorable. From cultural showcases to health initiatives, every element reflects our commitment to service and inclusivity,” Meena added.

The day will conclude with a media de-briefing at 5:00 PM, where the Airport Director will summarize the impact and outcomes of the day’s events. All documentation, including high-definition photos and videos, will be uploaded for compilation by 6:00 PM.

Yatri Sewa Diwas at MBB Airport promises to be a celebration of hospitality, health, heritage, and hope—bringing together passengers, staff, and the broader community in a shared spirit of service.
