Agartala, 6th April 2025: The Pradesh Youth Congress is gearing up for a state-wide mass movement against the alleged growing menace of drug addiction and the alleged rampant corruption and nepotism in job recruitment across Tripura.
In a key organizational meeting of the Youth Congress working committee held at the Pradesh Congress office today, the leadership charted out the roadmap for the upcoming movement. Youth Congress state president Neel kamal Saha, along with senior party leaders, chaired the meeting.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Saha said, “The youth of the state is caught in an extreme crisis. On one hand, they are falling prey to drugs, and on the other, they face systemic corruption and nepotism when it comes to employment. We will launch a mass agitation to raise our voice on these crucial issues.”
Saha emphasized that the movement will not be limited to urban areas but will expand to every district and block level. “We will hit the streets to safeguard the future of our youth and demand accountability from the government,” he asserted.
Party sources informed that the detailed program of the agitation will be unveiled in the coming days. The movement is expected to include protest meetings, rally processions, and sit-in demonstrations across various parts of the state.
