Youth found dead in market complex; police launch investigation

Agartala, 24th March 2026:    A wave of shock spread across Maharajganj Market after the bloodied body of a youth  was recovered from inside Lalmatiya Biponi Bitan on Tuesday morning. The incident has created panic among local traders and residents.

According to local sources, people noticed the youth lying in a pool of blood inside the market complex early in the morning. Residents quickly gathered at the scene and informed the police. Upon arrival, officers recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.

The deceased has been identified as Krishna Bhattacharya (35), a resident of Paschim Pratapgarh. He worked as a tiles mason by profession.

The victim’s wife has alleged that her husband was murdered in a planned manner, raising suspicions of foul play. However, the exact motive behind the killing and the identities of those involved remain unclear.

Senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police of West District, rushed to the spot along with an investigation team. A detailed probe has been initiated, and authorities are examining all possible angles related to the case.

Police have assured that further details will emerge as the investigation progresses.
