Agartala, 14th July 2025: A youth from Ludhua, Tejendra Tripura publicly apologized today after posting allegations against the Sabroom Police earlier in the day via social media. His retraction came after a visit to the local police station, where he gained a clearer understanding of the events surrounding a recent road accident.
According to reports, on July 3, Samir Tripura, Tejendra’s nephew suffered a leg injury when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a goods vehicle in Ludhua. He was taken to Sabroom Hospital and discharged following preliminary treatment. Initially, the vehicle driver had assured the family that all medical expenses would be covered by the vehicle owner.
However, when approached for reimbursement, the vehicle owner refused to pay the full amount demanded, instead offering to cover only verified treatment expenses. He also stated that he was willing to comply with any legal action deemed appropriate by the Sabroom Police.
Without full knowledge of these developments, Tejendra Tripura took to Facebook early on July 14, levelling multiple accusations against the police. Later that day, after visiting the police station with his injured nephew and learning the full scope of the situation including speaking directly with the vehicle owner, he acknowledged that his social media claims had been mistaken. In a statement to local media, he apologized for his premature remarks and extended a public apology to Sabroom Police officials.
