Youth shot over previous business-related enmity at Kalamchoura, battles for life at GBP Hospital

Agartala, July 25, 2022: Over the issue of previous enmity on business related matter, a youth named Mubarak Hossain of Rahimpur Gram Panchayat under Sonamura sub-division was shot by two other youths of the same village on the night of Monday.

It is reported that a young man named Mubarak Hossain tried to be shot dead because of business related matters and even because of previous enmity. Mubarak’s son was having viral fever last night and due to which he and his wife did not sleep while his mother stayed with them late night. As Mubarak Hossain’s mother’s house was a little far, she went to her own room to sleep after half past one. At around 2 AM on Monday, Mubarak went outside to fetch water for his son. All of a sudden, there was a sound. His wife came out and saw two men running away, and Mubarak Hossain fell on the ground. His entire face was covered with blood.

Hearing hue and cry, neighbours and Mubarak’s parents also arrived to the spot while he gradually lost consciousness within a short time. Mubarak was first brought to Kalamchoura Police Station and later to Boxanagar Community Health Centre by a private vehicle. After first-aid, the on duty doctor referred him to GBP Hospital. Currently, Mubarak is undergoing treatment at GBP Hospital. Till filing of the report, it is learned that Mubarak has not regained consciousness yet. The bullet hit his lower part of the face.

Meanwhile, the empty cartridge was recovered from the spot by the Kalamchoura police station staff. On Monday morning, Mubarak’s wife Rozina Akhter filed a written complaint against the accused persons with the Kalamchoura police station. The accused persons were identified as Mayin Uddin and Alauddin. They are reported to be residents of Ward No. 2 area under Rahimpur Gram Panchayat. With this, a fear of panic spread in the entire Rahimpur area.
