All public suggestions for JK assembly poll to be presented to manifesto committee: NC

Date:

National Conference on Friday said that all ideas, suggestions, and advice received by the party from the public through email would be presented to the manifesto committee at their next meeting.

NC manifesto panel headed by senior party leader and former Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather had sought suggestions from the public on July 5 to prepare its election manifesto for the upcoming assembly poll in Jammu and Kashmir.

While all parties in J&K are gearing for polls, the NC has taken a lead in preparing the manifesto for the assembly polls. The Supreme Court while pronouncing the verdict on Article 370 had directed the Centre to hold assembly polls in J&K before September 30.

The NC said a big thank you to the thousands of people who sent their suggestions.

“Thank you to everyone who emailed us about the manifesto. We are overwhelmed by the response, having received thousands of emails and replied to each one. The renewed faith in the JKNC has greatly encouraged our efforts to make this document truly representative of the people,” the party said in a post on X.

“All ideas, suggestions, and advice are being compiled and will be presented to the manifesto committee at their next meeting,” it added.

The party, buoyed by its recent performances in the Lok Sabha polls, said they are always open to your feedback, advice, and suggestions.

“As we close this window for email submissions, please know that our commitment to listening to you does not end here. We are always open to your feedback, advice, and suggestions. Once again, we thank you for your support,” NC said.

The last assembly election in the erstwhile J&K state was held in 2014 and the UT is presently under the direct rule of the Centre.
