A doctor and his son and daughter were killed after a fire broke out in a newly constructed 3-storey building at Bhagat Singh Nagar in Renigunta, near here in the early hours on Sunday.
The fire mishap occurred at around 0430 hours reportedly in the first floor of the 3-storey building where a clinic on the ground floor, police said here.
In the incident, Dr Ravishankar Reddy charred to death and his son Siddu (12) and daughter Kartika (6), who were shifted to another hospital, where they succumbed.
The fire tenders, who rushed to spot, rescued Doctor’s wife Dr Ananta Lakshmi and mother Ramasubbamma and doused the fire.
The actual cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
All the bodies were shifted to Government Ruia hospital in Tirupati, police added.
