Arvind Kejriwal most ‘dishonest and corrupt’ : BJP alleges

Date:

BJP on Wednesday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not appearing before the Enforcement Directorate (ED), and alleged that the latter was most “dishonest and corrupt”.

Addressing a Press Conference at the Party Headquarters in New Delhi, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said, “ED has sent three summons to Arvind Kejriwal, but he has not appeared before the agency till now and this proves that Kejriwal is deeply dishonest and corrupt”

Bhatia said, “Kattar beimaan’ Arvind Kejriwal, who once used to say that we have to eradicate corruption from India, has now become such a corrupt person who thinks he is above the law.”

Today, Arvind Kejriwal skipped third summons issued by the central probe agency, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in a money laundering case connected to the Delhi excise policy.

Bhatia added that Kejriwal is not appearing before the ED showed he “has something to hide”.

Earlier in the day, the AAP asserted that Kejriwal was ready to cooperate with the agency, but claimed the summons were sent with the intention of arresting him. “Why has the notice been sent right before elections? The notice is an attempt to stop from campaigning in elections,” the party had alleged.
