BJP expels Pawan Singh from party

Date:

Taking strong action against BJP leader and Bhojpuri film star Pawan Singh, contesting the Lok Sabha election from Karakat seat as a rebel Independent leader, the BJP expelled him from the party on Wednesday.

The party communicated its decision to Singh through a letter which read that the leader has been expelled from the organisation for his anti-party activities.

It stated that Singh was contesting the election against the authorised candidate of the National Democratic Alliance which was contrary to the party’s decision.

Such a step of Singh has also maligned the image of the party, it said.

As it is Singh has thrown his hats from Karakat Lok Sabha seat as an Independent candidate against Upendra Kushwaha of RLM.

Earlier the party had asked Singh to contest from Asansol but he had refused and was in the fray against Upendra Kushwaha.
