The public sector Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has signed a MoU
with Institution of Engineer (India) (IoE) benefiting academic and industrial community.
The pact was signed on Monday, a PIB release said.
The IoE has members from Industry and Academia – Staff and Students.
This MoU will pave way for students to have special Internships in BSNL and Industry level training
in Telecom and ICT domains.
BSNL will be sharing its expertise in the fields like Optical Fiber, Data Networking, Data Security and Mobile Communications with students, Academicians and Industrial personnel.
BSNL and IoE would work collaboratively to promote, facilitate, and support the growth and development of Industrial Sustainability Initiatives / Mechanisms in Tamil Nadu through various initiatives, projects, and Trainings.
Both parties would also prioritize the development of the Telecom (Telecom, ICT and its related domains) and MSME sector within the Industry Sector, identifying opportunities to enhance their participation in embedding sustainability initiatives within their operations and value chains.
As per MoU, RGMTTC, BSNL in coordination with Industrial Associations, large Industries and
MSME bodies, will work closely with IEI to identify opportunities for strengthening the Training
needs of Tamil Nadu Industrial Clusters, MSMEs and Industries over long-term, including supply chains in order to attract more participants.
Both the BSNL and IoE would organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and stakeholder events to promote knowledge sharing, capacity building, and networking opportunities for MSMEs
in the domain of Industrial Sustainability, Industry 4.0+, Management, Entrepreneur Skills Development and Sustainability Reporting, among others.
Since IoE is also in association with members of MSME, this MoU will be serving as gateway for all types of Industry for all Telecom solution services as well as exposure to advanced level training in telecom and ICT domains.
The MoU is signed in the presence of Dr. Kalyan Sagar Nippani, Director HR, BSNL, Mr Parthiban ITS, Chief General Manager, Tamilnadu and Chennai Telephones and Dr. Manish Shukla, Principal General Manager, Bharat Ratna Bhim Rao Ambedkar Institute of Telecom Technology, Jabalpur.
