Himachal Pradesh Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu ‘s wife Kamlesh Kumari are among two Congress candidate who established lead in assembly bye poll and BJP in one seat from 6 to 10 round of counting here on Saturday.
In 9th round of counting Kamlesh Kumari who is fighting election from Dehra assembly constituency of Kangra district established lead by 7850 votes. In Earlier three rounds she was trailing but now established lead.
In Dehra Bye election till ninth round of counting Ms Kumari got 28661 votes and BJP Candidate Hoshiyar Singh 20781 votes.
In Nalagarh Bye election BJP candidate and former MLA K L Thakur is trailing by 4137 votes in 6th round of counting against his nearest rival of INC Hardeep Singh Bawa. Thakur got votes 18901, 23038 Bawa and BJP rebel and Independent Harpreet Saini 7399 votes.
In Hamirpur assembly constituency BJP candidate and former MLA Ashish Sharma is leading from nearest Congress candidate Dr Pushpendra Verma by 1545 votes in 7th round of counting. Mr Verma got 20389 and Mr Sharma 21934 votes.
Counting won in the three assembly Bye-election at 8 am peacefully in the district headquarter Hamirpur, Dharmshala and Solan. Around 200 employees were deployed for the counting of votes.
By poll necessitated after three Independent MLAs Ashish Sharma from Hamirpur, Hoshiyar Singh from Dehra and KL THAKUR resigned from the assembly seats in March 2024 and joined BJP.
