Shujath Ali, a prominent Congress leader, criticised Prime Minister Modi’s food guarantee scheme, claiming it openly admits to keeping 80 crore people poor for another five years.
In a statement issued in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Ali alleged that while Modi boasts of India becoming a seven trillion-dollar economy, he simultaneously aims to provide free food, thereby perpetuating poverty for a significant population.
Ali expressed hope that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Indian electorate would strongly reject the NDA, asserting that India would emerge victorious. “I.N.D.I.A will come out with flying colours,” he added.
