Former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar on Tuesday said the protest against Kangana Ranaut in Kaza is the result of Congress’ nervousness and her popularity.
He said this was not an insult to the capable and brave daughter of Himachal, Kangana Ranaut, but an insult to the entire Himachal, adding the people of Mandi will give a befitting reply in the coming elections.
He said the Congress’ bags are being packed in this election.
Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru’s Congress ruled the country for 54 out of 76 years after Independence, whereas the Congress has now shrunk to such an extent that it got only 44 and 54 seats in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections respectively, he said.
The Congress could not even get the status of opposition party in the Lok Sabha.
Shanta Kumar said this time the Congress will get the least number of seats in the elections, adding this election will prove to be the last election of the Congress party.
Kumar said the Congress will remain an event in history.
