Five persons were killed and one injured in two separate road accidents in Odisha on Wednesday.
In the first accident, three members of a family were killed and one injured after the car in which they were travelling fell into 100-feet deep gorge on Sunki Ghat near Jodimadeli under Pottangi police limits of Koraput district this morning.
The injured was admitted to Koraput district headquarters hospital.
Sources said the victims were on their way to Visakhapatnam from Chhattisgarh when the accident occurred.
In the second incident, two bicycle riders were killed on the spot after a car hit them near Jharmunda village under Badagaon police limits of Sundargarh district.
The driver of the car sped away after the accident and police are investigating.
