Former AP CM Naidu lodged in Rajahmundry Central jail

Telugu Desam party chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was lodged in the Rajahmundry Central prison after midnight on Monday.

The prison authorities have assigned ‘7691’ number to Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu was lodged in the ‘Sneha’ block in the prison, and the prison authorities have provided some special facilities to Naidu.

The former Chief Minister was given a personal assistant and five security men in the prison.

Since the court permitted the family to provide meals and refreshments from home, Naidu was given black coffee, fruit salad, and hot water in the morning by the family members. Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari, son Lokesh, and daughter-in-law Brahmini were going to meet Naidu in the central jail as the court permitted for meet.

According to sources, a medical team will examine Naidu in the prison on Monday.

Section 30 of the Police Act was clamped down in Rajahmundry city, and over 300 policemen were deployed to maintain law and order around the Central Prison.

Meanwhile, the lawyers for Naidu filed a petition for his bail in the AP High Court, which will be heard by the court on Monday.
