Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya on Thursday said implementing Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the country is the need of the hour and this has been the main agenda of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Talking to the reporters before BJP candidate Shashank Mani Tripathi filed his nomination from Deoria, Maurya said that construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and implementation of UCC has been the main agenda of BJP.
He said, “Today a grand temple of Ram Lalla has been built in Ayodhya, Article 370 has been abrogated and the remaining work (UCC) will also be completed on time.”
Accusing Congress, the Deputy CM said that if anyone is guilty of disturbing the population control in the country, then it is the Congress. He said that Congress did not make any policy during its rule for population control.
