Manipur Police recovered arms and ammunition on Sunday in Kangpokpi district.
Police said one 5.56 mm Heckler Koch G3 Rifle with Magazine, .303 Sniper , .22 Pistol with Magazine, Single Barrel Rifle, improvised Mortar, live rounds, Hand Grenade and communication set were recovered from Kangpokpi District.
Police also enabled the movement of 314 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-2 .
Kuki militants and their supporters have blocked the highway since May 3, 2023, and a large number of men and women check the highway to see if people belonging to other communities travel on the road.
