Odisha will create history in these elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said during the second-leg of his campaigning in the state.
Modi, who held a mega roadshow in the state capital late Friday, uploaded a video of some glimpses from the campaign trail on his X handle and tweeted “It’s clear that Odisha will create history in these elections! Here are highlights from the roadshow in Bhubaneswar”.
The Prime Minister further said: “It’s a matter of great joy to have taken the blessings of the people of Odisha during the spectacular road show in Bhubaneswar this evening.
“Making it more special is the fact that Friday is Akshaya Tritiya, which is a major festival in Odisha.”
“Our Government will keep working for the wellbeing of Odisha and the Odia people,” the Prime Minister said.
The 2.5-km-long stretch Janapath here was virtually turned into a sea of humanity with lakhs of people from across the state congregated hours ahead of the Prime Minister’s arrival to witness him speak.
PM Modi, who stayed the night at Raj Bhawan, left for Kandhamal Saturday to address the Vijay Sankalp Samabesh. He will also address two more public meetings during the day at Bolangir and Bargarh.
These three Parliamentary constituencies will go to polls on May 20 along with Sundargarh Lok Sabha seat and 35 Assembly constituencies.
This is Modi’s second visit to Odisha for electioneering during the last five days after he kickstarted the BJP election campaign on May 6 from Berhampur and Nabarangpur, the two parliamentary constituencies that will go to poll on May 13, along with Kalahandi and Koraput Lok Sabha constituencies and 28 Assembly seats.
