Bharatiya Janata Party National
President J.P. Nadda on Friday inaugurated ten new district party offices
across the State and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the
political culture of the country and presented the Report Card Politics before
the nation.
The visit of Mr. Nadda, who also addressed a public meeting here, assumes
significance amid rising tension in the State between the BJP and its senior
alliance leader AIADMK, though both the parties had been maintaining that
the alliance was intact and would continue in the next year’s Lok Sabha polls.
Mr Nadda, who arrived from Bengaluru by a helicopter, in person inaugurated
the new Krishnagiri district BJP office and opened nine other district BJP
offices through video conferencing in the presence of BJP State President
K.Annamalai and senior BJP leaders and functionaries.
Later, addressing a public meeting, he said “it is indeed a matter of great
opportunity for me to be present here on this historical day.”
Mr Nadda said “I call it a historical day because in Tamil Nadu’s BJP history, it
is a memorable moment as a total of 10 new offices are being operationalised
in one go”.
The interactions that take place in the office and the informal education that
workers are imparted here are very significant, he said, adding, “I must say
these are neither Offices nor Karyalayas, but those ‘Sanskaar Kendras’ where
a worker learns the ideology of the BJP.”
“Through these Sanskaar Kendras, a worker does understand the targets which
need to be fulfilled, and learns how to make proper and efficient strategies for
elections”, Mr Nadda said.
He understand how to contribute in building the society and the nation in a true
sense, the BJP National President added.
He said Mr Modi has changed the political culture of the country. “Previously, all
the political parties were busy in doing the divisive politics.”
“But PM Modi has changed the dynamics and has presented the ‘Report Card
Politics’ before the nation”, he said, recalling various welfare schemes of the
Modi government that benefitted people.
Pointing out that the Nation was reaping the fruits of the hard work done by
the Prime Minister, Mr Nadda said “around nine years ago, we were the 10th
largest economy in the world.”
“But now, we are the world’s 5th largest economy overtaking even the UK,
which had ruled us for around two centuries!”, he added.
