PM leaves for Chennai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Chennai by a special flight from Begumpet Airport after his two-hour visit to Hyderabad.

Modi flagged off the Secunderbad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express at Secunderabad Railway station.

He was seen off at the Airport by Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, BJP leaders and other officials.

The PM, during his visit, virtully laid the foundation stone of five National Highway projects worth more than Rs 7,850 crore and AIIMS Bibinagar to be developed at a cost of more than Rs 1,350 crore, at a public function held at Parade ground here.

He also laid the foundation stone for redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station at a cost of Rs 720 crore.

Modi flagged off 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) services in the suburban section of Hyderabad – Secunderabad twin city region.

He also dedicated to the nation the doubling and electrification of Secunderabad–Mahabubnagar project.
