President Droupadi Murmu will arrive on
a two-day visit to Chennai and Puducherry on August 5 and 6.
After her arrival on the evening of August 5, the President will
stay overnight at Raj Bhavan.
On August 6, Sunday she will take part in the convocation of
the University of Madras after which she will leave for the Union
Territory of Puducherry.
Tamil Nadu Governor R.N.Ravi and Chief Minister M.K.Stalin is
expected to participate in the conocation event to be held at
Kalaivanar Arangam, located a few metres from the Uniersity of
Madras campus on the Marina beach front.
Police have been making tight security arrangements in view of
the President’s visit.
