Render medical services to deprived sections : Bhupender Yadav

Union Minister for Labour & Employment and

Environment, Forest & Climate Change Bhupender Yadav on Friday

told the young graduates to render medical services to the deprived

sections of the country.

In his address at the Graduation Ceremony of the students of 2017

batch of ESIC Medical College and Hospital, K.K.Nagar, Chennai,

he said the Union Government is focused towards creating an

infrastructure where workers of the country can easily avail the

medical care benefits.

He also encouraged the young graduates to render medical services

to the deprived sections of our country.

He said ESIC hospitals are an important cog in the wheel of the

mechanism through which India provides social security for its

workers.

Stating that the Union Government is ensuring social security in

the life and safety at workplaces for workers, Mr.Bhupender Yadav

said with the implementation of the Social Security Code, the

responsibility of ESIC is going to increase manifold.

In his address, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment

and Petroleum & Natural Gas Rameswar Teli said ESIC is committed

to provide best medical care and comprehensive social security to the

workforce.

He urged the doctors to treat patients not only with the knowledge that

they possess, but also with empathy.

Merit certificates and scrolls were awarded to the graduates of ESIC

Medical College by the Union Ministers who also congratulated the

young graduates.

Earlier in the day, the Union Ministers inaugurated new facilities

such as- “Anti Retro-Viral Therapy, Integrated Counselling and

Training and Tele-Medicine Center”.

With the availability of these facilities, ESI beneficiaries can now

avail these services with ease.

Various programmes, viz. ‘ESIC Swasthya Mitra’, ‘Family Adoption

Program’ and ‘Voluntary Body Donation by the MBBS students of

the college’ were also launched on the occasion.

A total of 99 students of the 2017 batch graduated today and were

awarded the certificates.
