SCR celebrates 9th International Day of Yoga in Secunderabad

 South Central Railway (SCR) on Wednesday celebrated the 9th International Day of Yoga at Indoor Stadium in Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad.

SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain, Rajiv Kishore, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Principal Heads of Departments, Officials and Staff took part in the Yoga activity.

Live streaming of the program was also relayed in SCR’s Social media platforms to enable other staff and officers on the zone to witness & participate through virtual mode.

This year, the theme is Yoga for’ Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and the focus will be on practicing yoga for the Welfare of All as One World-One Family.

Speaking on the occasion, Arun Kumar Jain said that Yoga improves physical strength, balance of mind and flexibility to handle day-to-day activity.

Yoga helps in developing inner peace and leads to stress free life.

He advised the officials and staff of South Central Railway to adopt the teachings of Yoga and practice them regularly and called upon the gathering to practice Yoga in everyday life to attain good health, sound thinking and spiritual discipline.

Renowned Yoga Teacher and State Coordinator for Art of Living Society, Hyderabad Murari Mohan conducted the session with Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation and Sankalpam.

A pledge was also administered to the participants for practicing Yoga in daily life.
