Send Modi back to Gujarat: Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has lashed out at the prime minister calling him a liar who has pushed the nation down a pit. Giving a clarion call to send Narendra Modi back to Gujarat, Thackeray spit fire at the PM for usurping his father’s party of its founder and symbol.

Thackeray said: “Modi’s engine needs to be changed so send him back to Gujarat. In the past 10 years, Modi’s engine has done nothing except for spewing lies.

Addressing a large election rally here at the Marathwada Sanskrutik Mandal Ground late Friday in support of Aurangabad Lok Sabha candidate Chandrakant Khaire, the former Maharashtra CM and one time NDA member said: “BJP criticises us (the INDIA Aghadi) but we have ‘faces’.

“Everyone is now saying all the contenders in the INDIA bloc can fulfil the post of Prime Minister, but BJP has only one face. So they should find a new face now.”

The UBT Sena chief said: “The NDA doesn’t even have a face anymore. Do you want a person who tried to put the country in a pit to become your prime minister again?” Therefore, Thackeray said: “Send him (Modi) back to Gujarat.”

Throwing a challenge at the PM, Thackeray said: “Modi was going to finish me and now he is gone. The decision to name Aurangabad as Sambhajinagar was taken when I was the chief minister, so far even the airport could not be named after Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.”

Thackeray also claimed that during his tenure as the Maharashtra CM, money was allocated for a parallel water channel in Marathwada, which now is facing drought. Even till date the work of water pipeline has not been completed.”

Lashing out at the BJP, the right wing leader tutted the BJP’s version of Hinduism saying: “Our Hinduism is the one that warms the hearth whereas the BJP’s sets the house on fire. There is a big difference between your and our Hinduism.”

Lambasting Modi for his “Sharad Pawar a wandering soul, and Uddhav Thackeray fake Shiv Sena” remarks, the UBT chief said: “You stole my father and the symbol. Modi has sinned.”

Uddhav Thackeray blamed the BJP for usurping Maharashtra’s industrial projects.

“Don’t spoil Maharashtra by taking our industry away. Gujarat’s onion export ban is lifted, but not Maharashtra’s,” he reminded the voters.

Thackeray assured the people: “I am committed to the people and will never leave the people and go with the BJP.”

Raising the issue of protection the Constitution, he said: “This election is the fight to save it. The BJP supporters do not agree that we should follow the constitution written by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.”

Thackeray put the onus of defeating the BJP on Chandrakant Khaire and Dr. Kalyan Kale as he invoked Maa Jagdamba and reminded his party supporters how he was stabbed in the back by the BJP. “Modi took my signature to become Prime Minister in 2014 and now calls me fake Shiv Sena.”

He appealed to the Maratha community to vote for INDIA aghadi as “Modi ordered shooting the Maratha brothers during their demonstration, cheated them and then raised his voice for reservation.
