Special activities are being implemented in the district under the guidance of Collector and District Election Officer Sanjay Yadav to increase the percentage of voting in the Mumbai city district in the Lok Sabha general election slated to be held on May 20.
According to the official press statement issued by EC, a special training on “Capacity Building and Life Transformation Technique’ was organized at Ruparel College in Mumbai on Sunday.
In the training program, all polling center-level officers, supervisors, regional officers, Mumbai Municipal Corporation officers and employees, as well as residents of large buildings, society presidents, medical officers, health nurses, Anganwadi nurses, and helpers, were present in large numbers.
If we decide to increase the voting percentage by voting on May 20 in this year’s elections, we will surely move towards a strong and capable democracy, said the coordinator of ‘SVEEP’, Dr. Subhash Dalvi, to the audience on this occasion.
Election work is our national duty. One day we all should contribute 100 percent to this work out of this feeling for the country. All of you are the important link between the government and the voters in the electoral process. If we all decide, we can increase the voter turnout in Mumbai as much as possible. In this work, we will have full cooperation through the district election administration, said Dr. Dalvi.
Booth Awareness Group (BAG) members should take charge of 20 houses each to motivate and encourage the voters at the time of polling, and they should be encouraged on polling day Monday (May 20). The training was attended by Assistant Election Returning Officer Prashant Panvekar, Additional Assistant Election Returning Officer Amol Kadam, Naib Tehsildar Chandrasekhar Chandorkar, and SVEEP Coordination Officer Prakash Bhandari of Mahim Department, according to the statement.
