Those who claimed to end corruption are themselves behind bars: Anurag Thakur

Date:

Taking a jibe at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Tuesday said that those who claimed to give a new direction to politics and end corruption are themselves behind the bars.

On the election tour of Moradabad and Amroha, the Union Minister alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the most corrupt Chief Minister till date and Congress is the party which supports corruption.

He said that Kejriwal started the movement against corruption from Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan to mislead people and now his photo behind the bars was displayed during the rally of the INDI alliance held at the same place.

While cautioning the people against such people, Anurag Thakur said that the public is not going to fall prey to anyone’s trap. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has given full benefits of public welfare schemes to Muslims without discriminating against anyone.

During Bharatiya Janata Party’s social media volunteer meeting in Moradabad, while calling upon the workers associated with the cyber cell of the party, he said that all the youth of the party will now have to become Modi which means ‘Master of Digital Information’.

The Union Minister said, “Today no person is untouched by social media. Everyone has a mobile in their hands and there is a need to understand its power. Now more people are more connected to mobile phones as compared to television and newspapers. The power of social media can be used to promote public welfare schemes of the government.”
