Winter session of Bihar Legislature beginning from December 13, is set to be stormy.
A total of five sittings of both Houses would be held during the winter session of Bihar Legislature which would continue till December 19.
On opening day of the winter session, three newly elected MLAs would be administered oath and after that bills approved by the Governor would also be tabled in Assembly.
Second supplementary budget of financial year 2022-23 would also be presented in Assembly on first day itself. Sittings of both Houses on first day would be adjourned after paying tributes to former members, who died during intervening period since the last session.
Bills would be placed on December 14 and 15 and passed after debate. Other scheduled business would also be taken during sittings of both days.
Second supplementary budget for the financial year 2022-23 would be passed in House on December 16 after general debate and reply of the government.
After that Appropriation bill would also be passed in House on same day. No sitting of the House would be held on December 16 and 17 due to Saturday and Sunday, both being Holidays.
On December 19, private bills would be taken up and after that both Houses would be adjourned sine die.
Main opposition party BJP has geared itself to corner the government on issues of poor law and order situation in the state.
Rising corruption and incident of serial shoot outs in Begusarai would also be raised in House by the opposition, as hinted by former Bihar Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Navin.
