Yediyurappa resolves conflict with Madhuswamy

Date:

BJP veteran BS Yediyurappa managed to resolve a conflict with former minister JC Madhuswamy, who was upset about not receiving a ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Yediyurappa met Madhuswamy at the farmhouse of former MLA Jayaram and held discussions for over an hour. He clarified to Madhuswamy that he had no involvement in the selection of candidates, as it was decided by the party’s central leadership.

“I clarified to Madhuswamy that I have no role in the selection of candidates, and it was the party central leadership that decided the tickets,” he said.

Yediyurappa convinced Madhuswamy to remain in the BJP, and Madhuswamy promised to continue his support for the party.

The former CM also mentioned that it was up to Madhuswamy to decide whether to support another candidate, but they did not discuss this issue further during their meeting. UNI BDN
