Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to Japan has been postponed, Foreign Minister A K Abdul Momen said on Monday.
“They (Japan) are ready (to receive the Prime Minister). We postponed the tour due to multiple considerations,” he said here.
He said the then Prime Minister of Japan invited Hasina. ” Couldn’t go for more than two years due to Covid. But recently there has been an upheaval in the Japanese government. Three influential ministers resigned in succession.”
Also, the Japanese Prime Minister “is very busy. Second, because of Covid, Japan will allow up to 10 people. We will go in a big group. Businessmen will go.”
