Indian, Pakistani NSAs spoke to each other, claims Pakistani FM Ishaq Dar

Date:

Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has claimed that the National Security Advisors of Pakistan and India had spoken on Wednesday, amid the escalation in tensions.

Talking to a foreign news agency, Dar said: “There has been contact between the two”, without providing further details, Dunya News reported.

The claim has not been validated by India.

Earlier, he told reporters at Parliament House that Pakistan had made a clear commitment not to initiate aggression.

Pakistan’s statement comes in the wake of the cross-border strikes on terror camps launched by India in the early hours of Wednesday to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were brutally gunned down.

Dar also claimed that Pakistani and Indian fighter jets were involved in a “one-hour scuffle” following the Operation Sindoor conducted by India – in a bravado-laden claim, not backed by India.

He also accused India of targeting Pakistan’s water reservoirs. India has stated that it only conducted precise strikes on terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, and did not attack any military or civil facilities.

Dar claimed India conducted 24 strikes at six different sites.
