Israeli War Cabinet member Benny Gantz arrived in the United States for a series of meetings, including with US Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Israeli media reported.
Gantz went to Washington without the approval of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who allegedly became furious and instructed the Israeli embassy in Washington not to facilitate Gantz’s meetings, The Times of Israel newspaper reported.
Gantz is also scheduled to meet with US national security adviser Jake Sullivan and White House Middle East adviser Brett McGurk, the report said. In addition, the Israeli politician will reportedly fly to London to hold a meeting with UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron.
