US billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk said on Sunday that the Starlink satellite internet system is the backbone of the Ukrainian military, warning that if he decided to disable it, Ukraine’s frontline would collapse.
“My Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off,” Musk said on X.
Musk also called to end the hostilities.
Earlier, Western media reported that US negotiators, during discussions on granting American companies access to Ukraine’s mineral resources, allegedly raised the possibility of cutting off Ukraine’s access to Starlink. Musk denied these claims.
