Russian air defences destroyed and intercepted 88 Ukrainian drones over the Russian territory overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Sunday.
“In the period from 8:00 p.m. Moscow time (17:00 GMT) on March 8 to 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 GMT) on March 9, air defence systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 88 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles,” the statement said.
The ministry said 52 drones were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod Region, 13 drones over the Lipetsk Region, nine drones over the Rostov Region, eight drones over the Voronezh Region, three drones over the Astrakhan Region, and one over the Krasnodar, Ryazan and Kursk regions each.
