Agartala, 6th July 2025:   A recently widowed woman returned home this morning to find her residence ransacked by burglars who had entered by cutting through the boundary fence. The incident took place late last night in Dakshin Charilam No. 6 Colony.

According to local sources, the victim identified as Tanushree Saha lost her husband Rajesh Roy just three months back. She and her child were away on the night of the burglary, a circumstance that may have averted a more tragic outcome. Witnesses claimed the intruders might have harmed the child had they been home during the incident.

The thieves allegedly decamped with gold ornaments and vital documents. Upon finding the break-in, Saha raised an alarm prompting neighbors to gather at the scene. The matter was promptly reported to Bishramganj Police Station.

Bishramganj PS staff responded swiftly and began a preliminary investigation. They have advised Saha to file a formal written complaint and report any suspicions she may have.

Saha suspects that a group of local youths with a history of drug abuse could be behind the robbery. She has expressed her intention to share specific names with police confidentially.
