Uplifting young voices: Pranajit launches Kishori Utkarsh Manch in Gomati district

Agartala, 11th July 2025:   The Kishori Utkarsh Manch, envisioned as a powerful platform to bring forth the latent talents of adolescent girls, was officially inaugurated today at Rajarshi Auditorium in Udaipur. Finance Minister Pranajit Singh Roy presided over the launch and highlighted the initiative’s mission to nurture excellence among young girls across the district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Roy emphasized, “Every child is born with innate abilities. It is the responsibility of families and educational institutions to help them flourish.” He added that platforms like Kishori Utkarsh Manch play a vital role in building confidence and identity among young girls by allowing them to express their hidden talents publicly.

The inauguration was graced by MLAs Abhishek Debroy, Jitendra Majumdar and Ranjit Das; Udaipur Municipal Council Chairman Shital Chandra Majumdar; Gomati Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy; and District Education Officer Kalyan Bhadra.

As part of the program, renowned Rabindra Sangeet artiste Tithi Debbarma was felicitated by the Finance Minister for her contributions to the cultural landscape, adding an emotional and celebratory tone to the occasion.

Organized by the Gomati District Education Office under the aegis of the Samagra Shiksha scheme, the two-day event has drawn strong participation from female students representing schools across the district, a testament to the growing enthusiasm around youth empowerment and inclusive development.
