Rubber saplings distributed to Patta holders in Dasarath Bari to boost livelihoods

Agartala, 15th July 2025:   In a significant initiative aimed at empowering tribal families, the Dasharath Bari Gram Panchayat under Mohanbhog RD Block distributed approximately 2,500 rubber saplings to 20–25 patta-holding families in Dasharath Bari ADC village.

The saplings were handed over by MDC Padmalochan Tripura, with each family receiving over 300 saplings. The distribution event saw the presence of Dasharath Bari ADC Village Chairman Dasharath Debbarma and Vice Chairman Mithun Debbarma. Officials announced that additional patta holders would receive saplings in the coming days.

The initiative was met with appreciation from beneficiaries, who welcomed the support from the state government and local administration. Recipients expressed optimism about the potential for improved livelihoods and employment opportunities resulting from rubber cultivation.

MDC Padmalochan Tripura extended his gratitude to the Chief Minister and the state government for their ongoing efforts to uplift tribal communities. “The government’s proactive measures toward sustainable livelihood and socioeconomic development for tribal populations are commendable,” Tripura said.
