Agartala, 16th August 2025:   Tension erupted at Mohanpur Primary Health Center on Saturday morning after the death of a patient, with family members alleging negligence on the part of the medical staff.

According to the complaint, Dipankar Debnath, a resident of Jagatpur under Mohanpur, was rushed to the health center after suffering from severe breathing problems. His son alleged that there was no oxygen supply available at the facility when his father needed it the most.

A junior doctor reportedly attended to the patient but failed to provide oxygen support. Family members further claimed that no senior doctor was present to issue a referral to GB Pant Hospital in Agartala. “Due to the delay and lack of proper treatment, my father collapsed in the hospital premises,” alleged the deceased’s son.Following the incident, chaos and tension gripped the health center premises as locals expressed outrage over the alleged negligence.Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
