Agartala, 18th August 2025:   The dead body of 18-year-old Akash Mog was found inside a local Shiva temple in Kalsi Satsang Para under the Jolaibari assembly constituency. Local residents immediately alerted the Baikhora police after spotting the body.

Upon receiving the report, Sub-Inspector Arjun Chakma and Assistant Sub-Inspector Maran Baidya, along with other police personnel rushed to the scene and conducted a preliminary inspection. However, police officials stated that the exact cause of death remains unclear at this stage.

Speaking to media personnel, SI Arjun Chakma noted that no visible injuries could be confirmed until the forensic team arrives. A detailed examination and post-mortem will be conducted to determine the precise cause of death.

According to statements from the victim’s father, Akash had reportedly been using drugs for the past few years. Police suspect substance abuse may have played a role in his death, though no definitive conclusions have been drawn.

Baikhora police have registered a case of unnatural death. Family members have formally requested a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind Akash’s demise.

In response to the incident, South Zonal Joint Chairman Harendra Reang and Janajati Morcha Mandal President Saman Joy Tripura visited the site, expressing concern and solidarity with the grieving family.

As forensic experts begin their analysis, all eyes are on the investigation to reveal whether Akash Mog’s death was accidental, drug-related, or the result of foul play.
