Agartala, January 02, 2023: Within a few metres away from Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha’s residence here, a dead body of a man has been recovered by police in a drain passing beside the Sri Krishna Temple on Monday.

Receiving information, East Agartala police station staff led by SI KD Debnath went to the spot and recovered the dead body.

Speaking to reporters, SI Debnath said “The recovered dead body has been shifted to the morgue of GBP Hospital here. The age would be around 65-70 years.”

Locals claim that the dead body might be of a vagabond who earn his livelihood by begging in front of different temple in Laxmi Narayan Bari Road area.

However, the recovery of a dead body in front of Chief Minister’s residence triggered tension in the area.
